New York City-Based Psychotherapy

MY SPECIALTIes

I’m passionate about helping individuals in their 20s and 30s harness their creativity, overcome obstacles, and achieve their goals in a way that aligns with their values and aspirations.

Navigating the intersection of ambition and creativity can be both exhilarating and demanding, often presenting unique challenges, such as:

  • Ambitious individuals often set high standards for themselves — driven by an innate desire to achieve goals and make a meaningful impact. This pressure to succeed can lead to stress, anxiety, & a fear of failure.

In therapy, we will explore effective strategies to manage these challenges, foster resilience, & create a personalized roadmap toward your aspirations.

  • Careers in creative fields often involve uncertainty and unpredictability. You may grapple with the instability of freelance work, project-based employment, or the pursuit of entrepreneurial ventures — leading to insecurity and stress.

In therapy, we will explore resilience-building strategies and goal-setting to navigate and embrace the dynamic nature of your creative career — leading to a more grounded and empowered professional journey.

  • Young professionals often undergo significant identity exploration — especially in creative fields, where personal expression is closely tied to your professional pursuits. This can be both enriching and challenging as you grapple with questions of self-discovery and authenticity.

We’ll navigate this journey together, exploring and embracing your evolving identity and integrating your personal growth seamlessly into your creative and professional endeavors.

  • Many ambitious young professionals experience impostor syndrome — doubting your abilities and feeling like you don't deserve your achievements. This can undermine your confidence and lead to persistent self-doubt.

Through the therapeutic process, we will explore and challenge limiting beliefs, work to increase feelings of “enoughness,” & foster a mindset of empowerment that helps you recognize and celebrate your accomplishments.

  • The boundary between work and personal life can blur for ambitious individuals who are deeply invested in their careers. Achieving a healthy work-life balance can be challenging — impacting relationships and stress levels.

Together we will develop unique-to-you strategies to establish and maintain boundaries, leading to a more harmonious work-life integration.

  • You may compare yourself to peers, fostering a competitive mindset and leading to feelings of inadequacy, which can hinder genuine self-expression.

Together we will explore strategies to navigate comparison, cultivate self-compassion, and build an authentic sense of self-worth, empowering you to embrace your unique journey with confidence and creativity.

  • Creative individuals may face periods of creative block or burnout, where inspiration seems elusive. This can be emotionally draining, impacting your sense of purpose and fulfillment in your work.

Through a collaborative therapeutic approach, we will explore strategies to reignite creativity, manage stress, and foster a sustainable and fulfilling creative process, ensuring a more resilient and inspired professional journey.

  • As a creative person, you may face the challenge of aligning your passion and creativity with practical career choices. Striking a balance between pursuing your creative interests and meeting practical career demands can be emotionally taxing.

In your therapeutic journey, we will work together to identify strategies that harmonize your creative pursuits with pragmatic career decisions, fostering a fulfilling and sustainable path for your professional and personal growth.

MY APPROACH

I believe in a transformative therapeutic journey that fosters self-discovery and healing. Therapy is your space to figure out who you are and ask questions about what life means, where you’ve been, and where you’re going.

I’m dedicated to creating a relationship that is supportive, challenging, and welcoming to vulnerability. No matter the day, the occasion, or the need, I strive to create a space where you feel like you’re coming home to yourself and leaving shame behind.

Sessions are engaging and collaborative, allowing us to explore challenges, celebrate victories, and navigate obstacles together. I believe therapy should be down-to-earth and approachable — a place where you feel heard, valued, and understood.

I draw on an integrative psychodynamic approach, where together we will explore the roots of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. We'll uncover patterns from the past that may be influencing your present and work on building a foundation for a fulfilling future.

Sometimes therapy is uncomfortable, and sometimes it's enjoyable, but I like to think that — together — we always make it worthwhile. I'm honored to have a role in helping you to choose better, love better, and therefore, feel better.

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

Therapy holds a unique healing power in guiding you through difficulties and reconnecting you to all the good parts of life.

Starting therapy is a courageous step toward a better life. My role is to help you navigate your thoughts, emotions, and actions, to get to what’s working and where you can make changes.

In the shared struggles of being human — confusion, conflict, changes, anxieties, sadness, and grief — therapy provides a space to express burdens and unspoken thoughts. My goal is to support you through challenges, offering understanding and perspective as you uncover your own answers.

WHO IT’S FOR

Individuals looking to understand who they are and why they do what they do. Individuals struggling with recurring behaviors or thought patterns that aren’t serving themselves or their relationships. Individuals desiring freedom from negative self-talk and increased self-compassion. Individuals who are grieving, changing, or seeking meaning in life. Many of my clients are deep thinkers, creatives, and dreamers. If you are seeking healing. If you are ready to go deeper. If you are ready to find something more, then this process is for you.

HOW IT WORKS

Therapy isn’t necessarily a quick process. It isn’t about getting rid of the symptoms before you truly understand where the symptoms are coming from. Therapy is about exploring the entire root system. Thankfully, you don’t have to pull out the weeds alone. We’ll sit together weekly, exploring areas of your life and history that may be causing you trouble in your present. Through this, you will begin to cultivate desired changes or meaning in your life.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • A first session is an opportunity for me to get a feel for who you are, what some of your concerns might be, and to get an idea of what life has been like for you recently. It’s also an opportunity for you to get to know me and my working style. There will be plenty of time for you to ask me questions! It’s also important to note that a first session is not a commitment for future sessions. The first three sessions allow both you and I to determine rightness of fit. Typically somewhere in the first three sessions we’ll have a conversation about continuing on together or going in a different direction.

  • Absolutely not! I believe anyone can benefit from therapy, and I specialize in working with people who want to “go deeper.” Deeper into understanding who they are, deeper into understanding the world around them, and deeper into understanding why they are the way they are. Sometimes this feels more like something is “missing” than something is “wrong.”

  • Both in-person and virtual sessions are available.

  • Sessions are 50 minutes in length and cost $180/session. I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots for clients who demonstrate financial need. Payment is accepted in the form of cash, check, or card.

  • While I don’t accept insurance, I can provide a superbill for insurance reimbursement. (Not sure how this works? I’m here to help! Just reach out.)

  • I ask clients to commit to weekly therapy for a minimum of 12 weeks. This is to create consistency and to allow for movement and change to begin to occur. The inward journey is a deep process that takes time and requires a bond to emerge between you and your therapist. After 12 weeks, we can discuss the possibility of changing the frequency of sessions.
